WELCOME to the Annual Safety & Skills Competition. The concrete industry is committed to being proactive when it comes to the safety of employees and the community. By hosting this event, our industry ensures that our operators and drivers are knowledgeable and safety conscious in all aspects of their jobs. Many companies host intra-company competitions, and winners from these events earn the chance to complete on the state level here at the annual event.

Competitors will participate in the ready mix truck driver, preventative maintenance team, forklift, frontend loader contests. Participants will be judged on a pre-trip inspection, a written test and an obstacle course. For the preventive maintenance contest, teams will be judged on a written test and the number of defects found on a ready mix truck. There will also be the pump competition. We will award a 1^st, 2nd, and 3^rd place overall to the winning companies. We are proud to announce the 1^st place overall winner will be the recipient of our “Art Murphy Trophy” for excellence in safety.

The committee has planned special events for children including a face painter, bounce house, and photo booth. Please pay close attention to the designated areas for such activities. Thank you for your continued support and we hope you enjoy the competition.
